Tattoos have always been popular among young Lao men such as labourers, boxers and soldiers.

But what do you think of Lao girls with tattoos. Do you classify them as a sex worker, or is it just their choice of showing body art?

It's hot and humid sometime you have take off your shirt. Government must not hate three head elephant that much. They're celebrating Lan Xang king. King Anouvong, King Fa Ngum. Even symbol of Lao SeaGame is elephant.

Enjoy Communism while it last. Lao government welcome Capitalist, big corporation. Laos has the youngest population in Asia with 40% under the age of 16. My prediction in 20-30 year old dinosaur, old thinking, Communism will be gone. Only 5 Communist country left in the world out of 193 country.

They celebrate and pay tribute to the Lao Kings of the past, but they don't display the three headed elephant flag, and there's no mention of it either.

Those under the age of 16 are all taught the communist way, because their teachers are communist, so the country won't change drastically with them. In the future, I'd like to see young students be taught the freedom to voice their opinions about our history, our government, and anything really, without fear of being arrested.

When I was 13 yrs old I went to school in Laos. I know how it is. What Laos need is freedom of expression, freedom of press, freedom of speech. Young Lao want good jobs and opportunity. Not brainwashing. In 21 century because of technology, TV, Internet young people know what's going on around the world. They has their own mind.

Don't trust Vietnam, China, Thailand so much. They has their own agenda and interest. What they really want is Laos natural resources and land. Can't trust nobody.

Yes, there's technology to help us learn and stay updated on world affairs.

The Chinese and Vietnamese want to make a living in Laos. They're not here to steal anything, they just need money to survive and there's more opportunities for them in Laos.

People go where there's jobs and opportunity. But you can't let everybody in, there is limit resource. War and conflict happen around the world because of land, resource, oil, water. See what happen in Tibet, east Cambodia, Isan region, Sipsongpana. Laos only 6.8 million people, 3.8 million are ethnics Lao. What happen if 2 million Chinese, 2 million Vietnamese move to Laos we will become minority in our own land.

In the U.S there are around 10 million illegal Mexican immigrant. About 500,000 are trying to come in every year to look for jobs. What will happen if U.S government don't crackdown and regulated? Illegal Mexican immigrant who's caught or commmited crimes are deported back to Mexico in 24 hours.

Laos have space for more people, even Lao expats are welcome. That's why the Lao Government is encouraging Laotians to move back to their homeland.

We won't become a minority, there will just be more mixed Lao-Vietnamese and Lao-Chinese people. I see many of them already.

That's quite alot of illegal immigrants in the U.S. That's just Mexicans too, and other races are not included.

Good policy that government encourage Lao oversea to move back. They should allow Lao in Isan to move to Laos too. Yes Lao/Viet, Lao/Chinese. In the next 30-50 year that mean less ethnic Lao. If Lao become a minority in Laos in the futures Lao will have no power running the country. Look at Bangkok Thai Chinese are the majority 8 million Chinese descendant out of 12 million in Bangkok, and they're in charge, control Thailand.

About 12 million illegal immigrant in US, most about 10 million are Mexican, Hispanic, Latino. The rest are Asian, middle east, African, european and so on. If lao government don't crackdown. Laos will be like America having problem with illegal immigrant in the future.

Issan people don't want to move to Laos. Lao-Vietnamese and Lao Chinese people are still considered Laotians. Our most well-known leader, Kaysone Phomvihane, is a Lao-Vietnamese and many Lao people still consider him a hero.

The Thai-Chinese live a Thai way of life, many have probably never been to China. They can certainly speak Thai and do all the Thai things as part of their culture.

I'm sure the Lao Government are taking the necessary steps to combat illegal immigration.

What I'm basically trying to get across is that girls with tattoos are frowned upon in Laos.

In England, it's probably more acceptable.

I rather see Lao girls with tattoo here and there than those in mini skirts, hot pants and mini dresses like those on Lao Babes website.

Tattoo is body arts but Lao girls in hot pants should be frowned.

The difference here is that you can wear sexy outfits on some occasions, but tattoos stay on you forever.

There's nothing wrong with tattoos, if it's just a small one, it's just an observation.

No I wouldn't classify them as sex workers. I think it is an expression of art. For myself I prefer a womens body to be completely natural. But sometimes I see a tattoo thats looks attractive.

I am new to the board.   American.   Just my opinion, but i am a state court judge and i see many people every day in civil and criminal court.   The tattoo craze is out of control in the U.S.   Tattoos everywhere, neck, breasts, lower back, ankles, face, etc.   

I absolutely do not like tattoos now.   I may have been indifferent now, but just broke up with my last American girlfriend b/c her ankle tattoo.

Sorry to offend anyone, but my questionaire includes "do you have any tattoos?"    If yes, i just can't go any further.  Just MHO. 8-)

Girls like tattoos drawn and show off them by revealing clothes or wearing skimpy outfit that to some extent it looks really cheap.
