Laos is a photographer's paradise. Many businesses are operated in an open area along the streets and major roads, so wherever you go you will always see people.

I miss home even more when I see these pictures. Life is so simple and peaceful there back in Laos. Maybe I'm just tired of the rat race here in america where everywhere you go it's crowded, have to spend tons of money, and then it's not even what you wanted, some peace. I sometimes think to myself, freedom in america isn't free but in Laos, them people are still poor but they still have more freedom in their life. I'm the dumb asss that has to get up at 6am in the morning to go to work everyday, fight some traffic, deal with problems at work, return home and pay my bills and taxes, get up the next morning and do it all over again and start counting down the days till retirement which I might die before I ever see it. While on the other hand I could be just sitting back and relaxing like this girl in the picture who has all day to do her hair out in the open without a care in the world and her cost of getting her hair done was probably less than the cost of the two lottery tickets I bought today hoping to win the jackpot of multi millions so I can afford to pay the $300k to the Laos gov't so that I can return to die in my homeland.

Buk Hoo Kee, What sort of work do you do? If you don't mind me asking.
Many people in Laos wake up earlier than 6am. If you don't believe me, go to the market in Vientiane at 4 or 5am and it's full of people (workers and shoppers), barely enough room to move around. Life in Laos is less stressful and much more fun. That's why most Laotians appear years younger and happy. The culture and traditions in Laos is so proud and rich and we are incomparable to the rest of the world. You don't need to pay the Lao Government to die in your homeland. There are many ways to die early and for free. ;D |

I went to school for Electrical Engineering cause it was instilled in my head since I was 12 years old when I first met my real father and he asked me what I wanted to be when I grow up. Several years later, $40k down the drain, thousands of meme mama noodle packages later, and still a dumb ass now, I am the current manufacturing engineer for a company that leads the industry in producing Automated Bank Machines (ATM's) and Self Check Out Kiosks found in most large chain grocery stores. Don't ask me if I know how to break into a bank machine cause I'd have to kill you if I told you, haha. Since we are being so honest today and I just don't care anymore cause I'm so bored, I'm going to let the entire truth out, maybe it might make me feel better about not being able to go to live in Laos yet.
Yeah, I live in buk america right now cause work is here. I grew up in Canada and currently looking for jobs back there even though I hate the snow in the winter, the lifestyle was better. Currently had a phone interview with a medical engineering company back in Canada and hoping for an in person interview soon. Just got another call from a head hunter about another job opportunity (in Canada) as well today so we'll see what that's all about. I guess I'm fortunate enough to be in demand cause I get frequent contacts from people offering me jobs. I must have a killer resume posted online even though the economy is still "recovering". For anyone looking for employment, I recommend Monster.com/.ca cause as soon as I update my profile on there, I always get a call. Turned down a few that I regret now but oh well, that's karma. Anyhow, I'm a single dude living alone, 34 years young and still being mistaken for a 21 year old. I'm not poor but I'm not rich either. Never married and still looking even though women are scandalous creatures. Haven't dated much, just been too busy with career and being too picky I guess. I don't meet too many Lao females during my travels and I guess they aren't looking for me either, haha. Perhaps the only option left for me is to find a young chick back in Laos? So there you have it, anyone else care to share. Maybe some poo sao's will come and read this and think, damn I want to meet this person.... hahaha... whatever... they're only looking for bmw's. |

Buk Hoo Kee, You seem to be doing well in life.
"34 years of age", "single", "never married", "working", "not poor", "live in America alone" are the key points in your post that would make any girl in Laos fall in love with you. |

If I can borrow Judy Garland's line from The Wizard of Oz.
"My, people come and go so quickly here!" That seems to be the case on Lao Pride. Don't ask for him, he is gone, and you will all be gone soon too if the pattern continues, and we should have some new active members in 12 months time. |

The time will eventually come when I must leave as the admin too, but we hope that the newcomers will keep Lao Pride and its' forum active for many decades to come. |
