Jao sabai dii !

i just joined...wondering whether the admin could setup a chat room! more more fun than a forum IMHO ! I would love to interact with people who are based in Laos.....I plan to arrive in about 70 days from now :-)

There's not that many active members in the forum. I'd say the chat room is kind of pointless. Also, I think the Admin is the only person based in Laos.

You gotta remember, majority of the Laotians don't have internet in their homes. The only way for them to obtain access is through the internet cafe.

ok, I understand now. i guess it will take a few more days/weeks/yrs until there are enough ppl to justify a chat.

BTW: I am planning to use Tigo Laos as my mobile internet provider. Just wondering, are people pretty happy with their services ?

I know the internet connection is slow compare to what we have here in the states. But, they are happy to the fact they have access to the worlds information super highway. :)

Tewada, We don't plan to add a chat room to Laopride.com. Maybe we will consider it in the long term. We have a chat room at Poosao.com. It's not the best chat room in the world but that's all we have for now.

I don't know about their mobile internet provider, but one thing's for sure I never use the Tigo service for my mobile phone because they are not reliable.

Welcome to Lao People's Democratic Republic in a couple of months.

JACKSPADE, Internet connection is still fast in Laos. Obviously it's faster in America, but network speeds is very good in Laos.
