Title: Planning a trip to Laos...
Post by Buk IIWJ on 11th Feb, 2010 at 4:26pm
Anyone from this forum are heading back to visit Laos on the upcoming months?  Laos New Year is just around the corner and I hope to back in time for the festival.

I was also wondering if Sao Admin can meet up for a drink or coffee:-).  Let's meet up at Joma. ;D

Buk IIWJ, If all you can offer is a cheap cup of coffee in order to meet me then please look elsewhere, in the countryside of Laos perhaps.

If you have a high-class seafood restaurant in mind, with the finest French wine and personal pickup in a BMW then I will consider.   :)

Sounds like a typical Laos girl response.
The guys looking for some love, the girls are looking for $$$$$$$$$$.
I guess the only way for a girl to make money in Laos is to be a prostitute/night entertainer/use a foreigner/marry old westerners/beer girl. I guess they don't have a brain so they have to sell their bodies instead.

Oh well, wait till they turn 30, then they'll realize.

I will probably be going to Laos this year sometime in October perhaps. Got to look for the wifey cause you know most laosy girls are waiting for their prince to come by in a BMW with the trunk full of cash and offering to take them away to paradise. Dream on.

ieieieieieiei..

Don't you guys get it? She is just having you on...The way you talk to her....no girl in the world would want to go out with you. She already knowing your intention is to get her in bed. to wind the girl over is like fishing mate! To catch the fish, you have to have a good
                               fishing equipment
                               where to fish
                               Bait
have a good understanding the behaviour of the
                               spice you want to fish
                               Timing
if you knew all of the above you will have a good chance to catch it!

I don't think this is a right place to catch the fish!
I will be there around Late November and early December 2010. I won't do much clubbing like your young stunt. I mainly will be travel to the country side. I would be in the Vientiane for a few days just to shop around and looking for land to build my future retire home. If any of you want to meet up. just PM me.

Hay guys, never leave home without the condoms.

Today, Laos is land of million hookers.
Beware of HIV/AIDS.

Buk IIWJ, I live in a restricted area that is controlled by high secrurity. Jumbo's are not allowed onto the premises, only BMW's.

I'm allergic to those kinds of foods. I can only eat fresh, clean foods at comfortable restaurants with airconditioning.

Worthless Laotian Refugee, There are restricted areas in Vientiane. Jumbo's can't enter certain streets.

20,000 kip can get you two bowls of noodles.

You haven't  go back for 31 years then it's time for you to go back and see you Mother-land. I'm sure that will change you view after you have visited Laos. Thing have changed and People have changed, Laos will continue to change...Some of us may not agree with the way it changed, but I you have to see you self, you have changed too.

I'm planning on going back as well, gotta help my villagers out to make sure they have enough food, clean water systems, health care, etc..The problem with a lot of Lao people  living in the US and various countries is that they take things for granted (stingy as hell, talking behind each others back, always showing off).  Make a difference in the world and start helping out.  I spent thousands upon thousands of dollars  out of my own pocket over the years trying to help our people as much as I can, still wasn't enough.  Stop talking about BMW and other high class bs.  The government officials has beautiful homes and nice vehicles, what has that accomplish for the country?  I don't mean to sound like a total jerk, but, I get pissed off when people get side tracked about the real problems our country is facing.

I think we would all like to go back to Laos and "help" our own country but I cannot afford the $300,000 price tag that the so called commie lao gov't has imposed on lao outsiders. So tell me now who are the greedy lao people? By the way, you don't need to spend thousand of dollars to "help" Laos, you can help in other ways like teaching or volunteering.

I understand the price tag, but, I don't plan on owning any land/property.  If I had that $300,000 it's going toward the people not some property/land. I have family living there, and the land/property are under their names anyways...If they want to buy land/property it will be under their names.  Same thing when you marry a Lao woman, you can buy any land as long as it's under her name. :)  Look at the Lao customs, it even states it there...when you marry a Lao national you cannot own land unless it's under his/her name.

I have never been to Houay Xai, it's best way to go via Thailand? I mean fly to Chiangmai and take bus to Chiangkhong and cross the river to your home town?

Tee, I think those routes you mentioned are probably the best going to Houay Xai.  I had friends whom are from the States and went back to visit their hometown Houay Xai via VTE, they told me it was a trip of hell.

HHhhhmmm.. I've only been back about 6 times and 7th coming up shortly.  Nothing can compare the feeling of being back to the motherland...  having a nice cold beerlao at some little hutt along the river... ;D

I don't know man, if you had only spelled the word "hut" correctly it would have been very convincing to me.  Since you added "tt" I would assume the letter "h" was meant to be a "b".  Technically, you are saying you are  "ga teuir".  :)
