Yes BHK, That was one reason too.....

One guy they used to calling him Buck "Phaeng or Pheang"; he used to(spy) wandering around the city. No one would thought he was working for Issaac until the fallen of Royal. In 1976 he got promoted to be Maj. Phaeng. (True story)

Maybe a lady you saw in this picture is working for Patikan.....ha ha ha

I have a question regarding beggars:

Do you consider it rude if someone advances with an outstretched palm begging for money?

It depends who it is. If the person is a genuine beggar in desperate need of money like the lady above, then I wouldn't see that as rude.

For me: It is rude.

We all know what they're about. To advance on someone and brazenly hound them for their hard earned is quite shocking in my book. However, there are exceptions, like that lady. Most of the 'beggars' I've come across aren't are 'opportunists'. I've even had to banish a few with a curse or two.
