anyone stay at dansavanh hotel before ? since planning visit on May2010. and is near airport might convenient to stay? any recomendation.

I have never stayed there, not that I need to, but I don't see anything wrong with it.

There are many fine hotels and other accommodation in Vientiane. Even hotels that are not near the airport are convenient to stay.

Aroon Hotel is 3 star rate by me or maybe just like the Motel in the USA.Situated away from the mail road(quite). The staff are friendly and helpful. Most of the things is till new.Bed is comfortable. I paid $30 per night for 3 adults with B/F

Note: if you expect to bring a guest back to stay with you is not allow! I over hear a American guest argued with the staff over the incident!

thank you all the suggestion i mean from there can go to the golf resort at nam ngum resort.

I've been there a few times. Dansavanh Nam Ngum Hotel is located in Nam Ngum Resort and it's very close to the golf course if you enjoy playing golf. There's also a casino if you like gambling, and if you're hungry there's a "all you can eat" buffet restaurant, I love their food. The zoo is not very far away too, so be sure to visit that.

Dansavanh Nam Ngum Resort is about 80km from Vientiane, the road to Ban Gun and Ban Boong Paow.

I don't know where you would be from...but come from where ever you are just to stay and pay golf...that is a long way...... You support to experience the culture and seeing the local. There are plenty of Golf in the west......

Tee, I suppose the golf courses in Laos have been built, primarily to cater visitors from overseas. You wouldn't come across many local Lao people who like to play golf.

Some tourists like to relax and combine sightseeing with a few rounds of golf, while some go to the resort specifically for the casino.

what loa pride say is correct cant we just relax play golf!!!! the resort definitely is great place to visit as i google it which has waterfall etc man make lake or dam...

found a really decent price for this resort ($50 USD) per night :D
