Laos does not celibates the Xmas any way.
We do in American and Christianity countries. ? to Adm: Does Laos have the freedom of religion? Christmas is time for LOVE, PEACE and Beginning of new lives. :) |

Some people in Laos celebrate Christmas, but we don't eat turkeys and put presents underneath Christmas trees. Laotians celebrate Christmas in a different way.
Yes, people can follow any religion or belief they wish in Laos. |

Does Laos has the freedom of speech?
Free election? If the answers : No, that mean you guys still living in the cave(Jail) |
Title: Re: Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year Post by Lao Pride Administrator on 14th Dec, 2009 at 7:54am
We only have one political party so obviously it doesn't make sense to have an election.
I'm actually happy that the general public is not obliged to vote politics. I have important things to do in my time than lining up outside waiting to cast a vote. |

Title: Re: Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year Post by WantLaosToBeIndependence on 17th Dec, 2009 at 9:58am
Seem to me you never ran out answers.
That why I had said: you should run for president of Laos. I will support you 1000%. Then our country will be better; and all exile Laotians will go back home ( Home Sweet Home ) Don't you guys had ever thouhgt we want to go back home? Maybe not ha, I want to go home badly but I can't. America, Cannada,Australia,France and etc is not our homes(Land). Can you help me please. All you have to do is be a PRESIDENT of LAOS. I am the "worthless laotian refugee" just like you had said: I don't want to be traitor, patikan or terrorist in near future. Think about it Ok, if we have no choice what do you think we're going to be(we have no Land,Home,Country). Peace will be upon who seek peace |
Title: Re: Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year Post by Lao Pride Administrator on 17th Dec, 2009 at 10:23am
In order to have any chance of becoming president, I need to be a member of the party, and I need to be an established member so that the officials will vote for me. No thanks, it's a stressful job to be president.
What's stopping those in exile from going back home to Laos now? What's stopping you now? I was only joking about the "worthless Laotian refugee" comment. Please don't take it personal. |
Title: Re: Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year Post by WantLaosToBeIndependence on 17th Dec, 2009 at 10:41am
Have you ever heard about Death List. for this reason many of us can't go back home at all. For what I had kwew in the US; there is no more Patikan( anti-lao communist) they are no longer existing. I was the one (back in 1980-82) we just getting tired of B-sh*t , Same Old, Same Old. That why I quit. There is no good reason to doing it. But you guys over there didn't thought that way.
We shown Love you shown Power We quit but you didn't To me war is over; by gone should be by gone. To you I really do not know. |
Title: Re: Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year Post by Lao Pride Administrator on 17th Dec, 2009 at 6:06pm
I don't think "many" is the right word. Maybe "some" of you can't go back home.
Thousands of Lao people who live overseas come to visit Laos every year. Some Lao Patikan still exist in foreign countries, but they don't intend to start war. They are friendly people who just dislike the Lao communist. |
Title: Re: Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year Post by WantLaosToBeIndependence on 18th Dec, 2009 at 7:40am
Tell me why some of us can't go back home?
The war was OVER. Past was Past. What the heck is wrong with your government? Scare some one might get the thron back. Can you run a quick check for me; If my last name are: 1. Sananikone 2. Nachumpasack 3. Sayyaseang 4. Siharath or Setthathirath Tell me which one Ok. |
Title: Re: Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year Post by Lao Pride Administrator on 19th Dec, 2009 at 12:39am
I don't know why some of you can't go back home, could possibly due to their activities in the past.
Yes the war is over, but some of you could return home and be up to something no good. The Lao government has no way of knowing if they've changed, so if you can't enter the country then you can't enter forever. :'( |
Title: Re: Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year Post by WantLaosToBeIndependence on 19th Dec, 2009 at 7:54am
Past was past; By gone should be by gone.
Just like I had said: " we changed but you didn't" " we shown love but you shown the power(hatre)" " we lost and you won" One thing I do believe, Maybe the your current leaders are not Laotians. If this the case we are in the dip sh*t( trouble). Let me tell you about real Lao Blood, we have ( symphathy, generosity, easily, forgive and forgave, love and care, lazy and corrupt, and do not like violence) these are in our blood. If these are inside of you then you are a real Laotian. In the US there is no more Lao-Patikan, There are only Lao-Lux-Zard. we've help raised the money and sent to Laos to build the schools and temples. We shown our love to our people back home. We are not Lao-kai-Zard( traitor or patikan). The Lao-Kai-Zard are living in Laos. They are selling our nature resources to the neighboring countries. These are Lao-Kai-Zard. Think about, I had said these right or wrong. :'( :'( :'( :( :( :( |
Title: Re: Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year Post by Lao Pride Administrator on 19th Dec, 2009 at 10:12pm
You can rest assured that the current leaders are Laotians who were born in Laos.
I heard that some Lao communities in foreign countries don't get along well with each other. People used to socialise and everything was happy, happy, together during the early years of their arrival but now the friendships have turned ugly. Maybe you have seen these situations. |
Title: Re: Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year Post by WantLaosToBeIndependence on 20th Dec, 2009 at 1:20am
You're right again...."They don't get along". Let me put it this way; Just like you and I "We have different point of view." Too many groups and too many ideas. Each of us proclaim to be the righteous one. And this is free country. ppl from North tend to stick with the Northerners,so too the Southerners are the same. Hmong don't socialize with Lao that much. They're proclaimed they are not Laotians; But that Ok.
That why I don't want to see the Laos to be like them ( no land, no country) and those left behind in the jungle of Laos are being hunting down like animals. This is sad. "Don't denied it." The year of 2035, we( including U) are going to be like them( Exile ) |
Title: Re: Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year Post by Lao Pride Administrator on 20th Dec, 2009 at 6:01am
The population of Laos is increasing every year, so there will still be Lao people living in Laos by the year 2035.
However the number of "pure" Lao people will decline. This is because many Lao people will marry outside their race, so as the years go by we will see alot of Lao people with mixed race. Laos has now opened its doors to the outside world and more people from different ethnic backgrounds are now settling in Laos and starting a new family. |

Title: Re: Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year Post by Lao Pride Administrator on 20th Dec, 2009 at 8:55am
Sounds like you are married to a Thai dark Lah because you have a habit of calling westerners "farang". :)
We are seeing many mixed Lao-western and Lao-Vietnamese people in Laos already. Black people are usually very polite so I always treat them nicely. |
Title: Re: Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year Post by WantLaosToBeIndependence on 20th Dec, 2009 at 9:11am

Title: Re: Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year Post by Lao Pride Administrator on 20th Dec, 2009 at 10:36pm
I better not because it's inappropriate.
I'm not mean, it's just a popular saying by Lao people from along time ago. |

Title: Re: Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year Post by Lao Pride Administrator on 21st Dec, 2009 at 12:59am
This website can be compared to a movie.
Behind the scenes, there's many people (cast and crew) involved and working together before a movie is finished and released for the public to see. My task is to administer this forum. We have other people who contribute in different ways in the operation of our website but they are just not part of this forum. Our website is about team work, that's why I say "we". Yes, it's me. I'm staring straight into the camera lens and not purposely staring at you. I'm sorry about causing any discomfort. |
Title: Re: Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year Post by WantLaosToBeIndependence on 21st Dec, 2009 at 5:30am

Title: Re: Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year Post by Lao Pride Administrator on 21st Dec, 2009 at 6:08am
Thanks for the compliment. I have a boyfriend. Every Lao person looks like someone from another country. People never say that he or she looks like Lao.
