I am very interested in the history of all Lao kingdoms from the dawn of time.  As I visited Vientiane last month I have purchased two history books in Laos and am translating into Thai where I find very very interesting. I am amateur historian concentrating on Suvarnaphumi region where I find tremendous similarities among nations.
My dream is trying create a firm perception among South east Asian nations instead of carry on repetitive feelings in order to propagate the future together.  Anybody interested in my topic, please feel free to comment or write to me.

Most of the history I learned from Laos was from the lonely planet book they published.

It's brief but it gives a good outline up to the present era.

I feel that we share the same history book with slightly different meaning although the end result is the same. I think it's about time we both sit down and help each other decipher the meaning. What do you think?
