Title: Petrol in Laos
Post by Lao Pride Administrator on 9th Jun, 2009 at 6:11am
In Laos, you don't necessarily need to visit the petrol station to fill up. Some people sell petrol on the streets. Bottles placed along the roadside means that there is petrol for sale here.

I learn something new about laos everday on this site. Now I know where to get a quick flame bomb, and fill up my motorcycle too. How much is gas prices in laos, is it considered expensive cause I see people only filling up a few drops at a time. I see people driving their bikes and shutting it off and on as they go down a small slope or even a bump to try and save gas. I laugh when I see it cause motorbikes are already very cheap on gas when I look at the massive V8's on the road.

Around $3 US will fill up your motorbike.

I haven't seen motorbike riders shut off their bike when driving down a slope, but Jumbo and Tuk Tuk drivers sometimes do it when they are approaching a red light, or stopping at a red light.

That look like a black market. In the US you will be jail for not paying taxes, selling gas on street. Make sure you don't smoke while filling up.
;D :D

When selling second-hand, do these middlemen actually make anything decent?

Right now filling up gas on V6 cylinder SUV might cost you around $65 a week in the US. We drive everywhere. Gas is $3.39 per gallon.
