They pour water on the buddha statues, monks are considered the same, "ong". I think you get more points for watering a monk. Double points for watering a girl with a white shirt, haha.

During the Lao New Year, you're allowed to wet the monks.

And it's the only time during the year when monks are allowed to touch women. Not many people know that.

Really? Monks can touch women during new years? Where's the nearest love hotel then? I sure wished someone would have told me this when I was a monk. So if monks can touch women during new years, then what about the average guy, what can he touch, this and that, oh my....

Those who have been a monk for many decades won't do anything outside their moral principles, but it's not a sin to touch women during the Lao New Year.
