I wouldn't say they are ugly but I don't think they are models either. I wouldn't think anything of them if I passed them on the street. They actually don't know how to wear make up or they have a bad make up artist doing it for them. I wonder how they became models in Laos, maybe they were willing to do something other prettier girls wouldn't do, haha... oh well just my opinion, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

As I mentioned to you already on another thread, the best way to find out if someone is "working" in your terms, is to observe what they do on a nightly basis.

To make your job easier, this girl is not "working". I wear similar short jeans sometimes, there's nothing provocative about it. Don't they wear these in New Zealand?

In this case you are not able to do that, so you take the word from someone, and I've mentioned that she is not "working". I was told by a gentleman who knows her.

You can't sum up the situation in 5-10 minutes because ordinary Lao girls wear the same outfit too. The sinh is still around. Students wear it, and those who go to temples and special occasion events.

I don't often wear the sinh because I'm still the younger generation.

If I live up to 70 or 80 years old, then I'll be wearing it on a regular basis to keep up with the fashion of the older Lao generation.

Thais always smile at tourists, because tourists show them the money.

The older Lao generation used to tell me that if you don't have any money for them, they won't smile at you.

Thailand deserve the title as "The Land of Smiles". They tend to smile more than Laotians.

One of the good things in this shoot is that there are some skin shades that are closer to dark than light, and that is not a bad thing. In fact, that may even be a good thing. Oh hell, it is a good thing. :)

Laos needs to maintain its traditional Buddhist culture and this can be accomplished through government regulation. Tourists have no right to bring their decadent values and clothing styles to Laos. The Lao people should not adapt to foreigners and tourists. Rather, it is the foreigners and tourists who should adapt to Lao society. Fostering an environment where prostitution is allowed will have the tragic consequence of destroying all that is good in Laos today. Just look at what happened to Pattaya if you need evidence. The city is the underbelly of SE Asia and generally attracts the most depraved tourists and Thai natonals. Many of thePattaya locals have been corrupted because of this influx of undesirable persons.

People like Larb Dip can stay out of Laos.
