You can see old weapons, portraits of war and famous Lao people, writings, etc. It's definately worth a visit.

Unfortunately, photography is not allowed inside the museum.

If I am not mistake, this place is locate at the front of Kaysone Nguyen Phomvihane's house ( Ban Nongsaangthor connect to Fort Phonkeng) soy peeng khou khanh naa

They are showing the piece of junks. nothing to be interesting of

It's the standard policy for nearly all musems around the world, and not just Laos in specific.

Is THAT the reason for the secrecy. I actually thought it was because they were displaying hand-made Chinese 'relics'. :)

They don't have any secrecy. It's just that items can be damaged over time with the use of camera flash. Also the following might happen...
