travel to laos on 17th july and would like some advice on good places to go for a night out and whats the score after hours.If anyone is in town on 17/07/08 and fancies meeting up for a beer go to kop chai der beer garden in central vientiane around 5 to 7 oclock as ive heard this plce is quite popular.just look out for a 40yrs londoner talking crap,cheers.

That's right, Khop Jai Deu is one of the most popular restaurants in Vientiane with lots of westerners, Japanese and Thai customers. Their buffet at lunch time is nice and cheap but I haven't tried their evening meals.

Actually this site isn't new, it has been online for a few years but we haven't had time to work with it. It's slowly being built now.
